Carol Ann (Burns) Bearfield of Newton, passed away peacefully the morning of Thursday, February 22nd surrounded by her loving family after a short battle with cancer. Beloved wife of the late James L. Bearfield, Carol leaves behind her son Matt Bearfield and partner Jaclyn of Hopkinton. She also leaves behind her beloved granddaughters, Chloe and Brooklyn, for whom Nana would go to all ends of the world for and back! Whether to watch a basketball or lacrosse game, bring them to Cabots for a late night sleepover treat or to facetime with so they could show her their nighttime skincare routine, Nana did all the things that Nana should, and more!
Daughter of the late James and Margaret (Regan) Burns. Loving sister of Barbara MacKinnon of Newton, Kathy Clarke and her husband Larry of West Newton, Nancy Komow of Newton, James Burns of Newton and Stephen Burns of Marshfield. Also survived by numerous brother and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. From spending weekends down the Cape with family, to outrageous holiday gatherings and the spontaneity of countless road trip adventures with her siblings, Carol cherished any and every moment that she was able to spend with her family, making memories that we will all remember forever. Carol's kindness knew no boundaries.
Visiting hours will be at Magni Funeral Home, 365 Watertown St, Newton 02458 on Thursday February 29th from the hours of 3PM-7PM. Burial service and ceremony will be privately held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol's name may be made to the Wyatt Luchsinger Memorial Fund at The CNY Community Foundation - https://cnycflogin.org/givetoafund - (Donors can enter "Wyatt Luchsinger Memorial Fund" in the "Fund name or purpose of gift" field and the name of Carol Bearfield in the "Gift is in honor/memory of" field).
