It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Ann Bergeaux, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, who left us on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the age of 67. Carol peacefully departed this life at Baylor St. Luke's Heart Hospital in Houston, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Carol was born on August 29, 1958, in Jennings, LA.
Carol was a woman who knew how to enjoy life. Whether it was camping, listening to music, hunting for treasures at flea markets, or creating cherished memories with her grandkids, her joyful spirit shined brightly. She enjoyed spending time with family creating lasting memories.
She is survived by her loving husband, Sidney Bergeaux of Evangeline, her daughters, Shawn (Michael) Broussard of Lake Arthur, Brandi Clement of Hathaway, four grandchildren, Kassadie Broussard, Kallie Broussard, Keely Francis and Kohen Francis. She also leaves behind her sister, Tina (Darrel) Fontenot of Hathaway, brothers, Keith Chaisson of Hathaway, Bert Chaisson of Arizona, stepchildren, Dusty Bergeaux, Toree Bergeaux, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; Raymond and Elta Mae Lantz Chaisson of Hathaway, and her brother; David Chaisson of Hathaway.
Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Carol's life. There will be a public viewing at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at the same location at 1:00 pm officiated by Father Blaine Clement. After the service, the family is honoring her wishes of cremation.
Carol's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be dearly missed, but the memories of her laughter and love will always remain.
