Carol Ann Colwell
Of Windsor, NY
Carol Ann (Chrisitan) Colwell, 73, of Windsor, NY, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023, in Milton, Florida.
She was predeceased by her parents Orrin & Mildred Christian; daughter Joelle (Colwell) Zukosky; and sister Sandra Sheperd
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Donald Colwell; children John Zukosky, Jackie & David Cohen, Jarod & Kaye Colwell, and Julie & Shawn Burns; siblings Lois & Rick Bales, Mark Christian, Jim & Jennifer Christian, and Brenda & Curt Underwood; 25 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Carol was born in Binghamton, NY, on August 16, 1950. She touched countless lives throughout her 47-year career as a Register Nurse at Barnes Kasson Hospital in Susquehanna, PA. She was loving and caring mother to over 20 foster children as well as nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and extended family members that she opened her home to. She never turned away or said "No" to anyone who asked her for help; most times you didn't even have to ask. If she knew you need help; she was there for you. Her door was always open, literally you just had to stop by the farm. She blessed others through her love for sewing, cooking, and hospitality. She served for years in the local church through her gifts of hospitability, nursery, and Awana. Carol enjoyed reading, horseback riding, and ceramic painting. Her ultimate favorite past time was camping with her husband and taking as many others along as possible. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.
