Carol "Sue" Conner, age 77, of Louisburg, Kansas, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023, at her home.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Dengel & Son Mortuary – Louisburg Chapel, 1 Aquatic Drive, Louisburg, Kansas 66053. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, Kansas.
Sue was born on October 7, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the sixth of nine children to Phillip and Tommilou (Marshall) Sweeney.
Sue married Glen Conner and together they had three children, Karen, Glen Jr., and Chris. She and Glen lived in Summersville, Missouri, until 2001, when they moved to Louisburg to be near their grandchildren.
Sue loved to enjoy a hot cup of coffee in her pajamas. She loved to go shopping with her sisters, getting pedicures, having her hair styled, and watching "Murder She Wrote." Sue loved her children and grandchildren more than anything.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Glen Conner, son, Glen Conner Jr., parents, Phillip and Tommilou Sweeney, and five siblings, Joyce Koziol, Phyllis Brocato, Vicki Sweeney, Frank Sweeney, and Gary Sweeney.
Sue is survived by her two children, Karen (Paul) Duff, and Chris (Lindsay) Conner, two grandchildren, Conner (Hailey) Duff and Camren Duff, three sisters, Patricia Merritt, Linda Camren, and Pam Sweeney, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made payable to the Great Plains SPCA, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, P.O. Box 669, Louisburg, Kansas 66053.
