Carol Ann (Née Siok) Drogosz
Age 84 of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on September 29, 2022. Born October 6, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois, Carol was the daughter of Francis S. and Estelle (Née Pienta) Siok. She was raised in Chicago. She also lived in Des Plaines, Tucson and Sonoita Arizona. She graduated from Harper College and held various jobs over the years.
She was an active member of St. Zachary Catholic Parish for 30 years.
In her free time, she enjoyed writing stories about her life experiences. She took many pictures of sunsets, her mountains and the wildlife that wandered past her windows in Sonoita. She kept track of her friends and family through Facebook. She also created over a dozen miniature rooms, making many items herself and was an expert seamstress.
Carol was extremely proud of her 40 years of sobriety.
Survivors include her daughters, Annette (Brian) Bessler of Schaumburg, Illinois and Cathy Halvorson of Santa Ynez, California; grandchildren, Thomas (Marjorie) Rizzo, Kristen (Brian) Madson and Griff Halvorson; great-grandchildren, Andrew Shadel, Jack Rizzo and Connor Rizzo.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Francis S. and Estelle Siok.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at St. Zachary Catholic Parish, 567 W. Algonquin Road – Des Plaines, IL 60016 from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Carol’s memory to: American Diabetes Association at diabetes.org.

We send our sympathy and condolences to Carol,s daughters, and other family. We corresponded with Carol for several years, had lunch when she came through Chicago. She was a strong woman, a classmate, and a good friend. Bob and Louise Heselbarth.
