Carol Elaine Edinger, a cherished soul known for her grace, warmth, and loving nature, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital in Fountain Hill, PA. Born on November 25, 1939, in Easton, PA, Carol's life was a tapestry of dedication to her family, her work, and the simple joys that filled her days.
Carol's journey began as the daughter of the late Kenneth Roy Edinger and Esther Ava (Burris) Edinger. She grew up surrounded by the love of her family and the close-knit community of Easton. Carol's education at Wilson High School laid the foundation for her commendable work ethic and her ability to connect with others, qualities that would define her throughout her life.
After her schooling, Carol embarked on a diverse career path that saw her excel in several roles. She managed a bustling hotel at the Holiday Inn, where her knack for hospitality shone through. Carol's meticulous nature and love for literature led her to a position at the Lafayette College Library, and she also contributed her skills to Weller Electric and Falk's Food Basket. No matter the role, Carol's colleagues remembered her as a steadfast and reliable presence, always ready with a kind word and a helping hand.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Carol was a woman of many passions. An avid doll collector, she treasured the artistry and history behind each piece in her collection. Her love for antiques spoke to her appreciation for the narratives woven into the fabric of the past, a sentiment she lovingly shared with her family and friends.
Survivors: Family was the cornerstone of Carol's world. She is survived by her devoted sons, Christopher Gruver of Pen Argyl, PA and Kenneth Gruver II, and his wife Christine of Easton, PA. Her brothers Kenn Edinger of
Bethlehem, PA, Tim Edinger and his wife Carol of
Bethlehem, PA and her sister Gail Reinhardt and husband Tom of Lakeland, FL, will fondly recall Carol's unwavering support and the joy she brought into their lives. Carol's legacy continues through her six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her spirit of kindness and generosity. Carol was predeceased by her husband, Richard Cassell.
