Carol Fallat Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Palmer Funeral Homes - River Park on Feb. 10, 2025.
Carol A. Fallat, a beacon of love and joy, passed away at 12 am, Monday, February 10, 2025, in Raclin House. Born on May 7, 1949, in South Bend, Carol's life was a testament to her unwavering kindness and the deep bonds she forged with those around her.
Carol's journey began as the cherished daughter of the late Matthew and Ruth (Burke) Miholick. She grew up in a lively household with her siblings, including her late brother, Jim Miholick, and her loving sisters, Marla (Bob) Corbett and Margaret (Mike) Miholick. Carol's family circle expanded when she married her soulmate, Frankie Fallat, on September 30, 1972. Their enduring love story spanned over 53 years and was blessed with a daughter, Jaime Fallat, and a granddaughter, Alyssa Sherman, who brought immense joy to Carol's life.
Carol's professional path as a Loan Officer at Teachers Credit Union was marked by her dedication and care for others. Her work was not just a job but a way to make a positive impact on the lives of countless individuals.
A passionate advocate for animals, Carol's heart held a special place for her beloved Afghan hounds, Fitz and her grand-dog Zeus. Her love for these graceful creatures was part of a lifelong mission, as she rescued Afghans for over 50 years. Carol's compassion knew no bounds, and her furry companions were a testament to her nurturing spirit.
Carol's love for the outdoors was evident in her hobbies. She was an avid gardener, finding solace and joy in the beauty of nature. Her garden was a vibrant tapestry of life that reflected her care and attention to detail. Bird watching was another pastime that allowed Carol to connect with the natural world, observing the delicate balance of life with a keen and appreciative eye.
Summers at Magician Lake were among Carol's most cherished moments, where she could indulge in her love for fishing. The tranquility of the lake, the thrill of the catch, and the warmth of the sun were sources of endless happiness for her.
Carol's life was one of connection and celebration. She was a loving figure to her three nephews, two nieces, and ten great-nephews and nieces, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her ability to nurture and love was boundless, and she leaves behind a legacy of warmth and generosity that will be remembered by all who knew her.
