Carol Jean Forrester

Carol Jean Forrester passed away peacefully on Monday, January 27, 2025 at the age of 77. Born and raised in Greenville, SC, Carol was the loving daughter of the late Lillie Mae Forrester and Thomas Preston Forrester. As an only child, she was very close to her parents and continuously cared for them until their passing.
Carol devoted the best years of her career working at SpecFab Services for over 33 years. She truly loved her job and everyone she worked with so closely for many years. To Carol, they became more than just cherished colleagues. They started as friends and turned into a part of her extended family who generously showed compassion and ongoing support during her battle with cancer.
Carol grew up in the Baptist Faith and often found joy in some of life's simple pleasures. She loved going to the beach, the mountains and planting flowers. Carol was a devoted pet owner who found immense joy in the companionship of her two loving cats. Everyone who knew her would describe her as the sweetest person they have ever met because Carol had a tender heart and gentle spirit.
Carol is survived by multiple cousins and extended family. She spent the last few months in the company and care of her closest cousin, Diane Roubaud and her husband, Doug Roubaud. To outsiders, people would believe they behaved more like two sisters because of their ongoing banter, jokes and time together where Carol joined them for vacation, holidays and life events. Her kindness and compassion will forever be remembered by her circle of friends and family.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 to celebrate her life and homecoming to be with the Lord. Visitation will be held at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest from 10:00 am to 10:45 am followed by a service in the Chapel at 11:00 am officiated by Pastor Rit Varriale.
Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery West where Carol will be laid to rest next to her parents.
