James Harry "Jimmy" Halterman III

James Harry "Jimmy" Halterman, III, age 56, of Easley, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025. He was the son of Linda Jones Prince and the late SGM James Harry Halterman, Jr.
A proud Georgia Bulldog fan, Jimmy had a big personality that could light up any room. Known for his gift of gab and love for attention, he never met a stranger and always had a joke ready. Whether it was his booming laugh or playful nature, Jimmy brought joy and energy wherever he went.
He had a deep love for the ocean and never missed a chance to swim, eat seafood, or enjoy his favorite-salt water taffy. Jimmy also had a competitive side, loving sports like golf and church softball. One of his greatest joys was coaching his son in little league baseball, proudly cheering from the dugout and cheering from the stands while his son Spencer, a.k.a. "White Chocolate", scored his famous 3 pointer shots.
Jimmy treasured time with his family and friends, and you could always count on him to be behind the wheel-because wherever he went, he had to be the driver.
He is survived by his "Mom and Dad," Wayne and Annett Easler of Easley; his loving son, Spencer Halterman; four sisters, Susan Skelton, Nancy Byars, Michelle Anderson, and Barbra Woods; two uncles, William and Doug Halterman; two brothers-in-law; one niece; and one great-nephew. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Jimmy's memory will live on through the laughter he inspired and the love he gave so freely.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 14, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest. The funeral service will be Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at Tremont Church of God.
