Robert Keavan "Bob" Hester

Robert ("Bob") Keavan Hester, 89, husband of Tina Hester, died on April 14, 2025, at Greer Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Born on January 17, 1936, in Greenville, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Clinton Demarcus Hester and Elma Knight Hester.
Keavan was a graduate of Parker High School and Furman University. He served our country honorably in the United States Army.
He spent his entire career in the textile and manufacturing industry and retired from Alexander Machinery in 2001.
Keavan was an avid supporter and fan of Furman University athletics, but his favorite pastime in life was being with family and friends. He was a lifelong member of Parisview Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, youth leader, leader of the Golden Agers senior adult group, and on many other committees.
In addition to his wife of sixty-eight years, Tina, he is survived by a son, Greg (Becky); a grandson, Colby King; two brothers, Anthony (Mary Jo) and Barry (Saralu); and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at Parisview Baptist Church. Interment will be held following the service at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
