Carol A. Hacker, age 75 of Sardinia, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning October 14, 2025 at her home. She was born June 10, 1950 in Cincinnati, the daughter of the late John Thomas and Ruth Marie (Moehlman) Dean. Carol was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who always made her family her priority. She is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Lester T. Hacker, Sr., whom she married on December 15, 1972 in Cincinnati. She is also survived by her daughters, Shannon Christophel of Mt. Orab and Heather Hacker of Sardinia; her son-in-law Mike Christophel of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Halie Hacker, Leslie Hacker, Jacob Christophel and Emily Christophel; and two great grandchildren, Sebiney Hacker and Lakelynn Wheeler. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her son Lester Thomas Hacker, Jr.; her brother Jerry Dean; and her aunt Freida Winans. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. immediately following visitation. Terry Rose, Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in the Harwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Hacker, Jacob Christophel, Mike Christophel, Alan Gregory, Brayden Davis and Garrett Wheeler.
