Carol E. (Jacobs) Hollar passed to be with the Lord on September 3, 2025. She was born to Clarence (Jake) and Pearl Jacobs on March 15, 1939. She was preceded in death by her husband Bryce Hollar, and her parents. Bryce and Carol built a life together in Butler Ohio and were married for 27 years. She is survived by daughter Robin Hall and friend John Burgandine of Mt. Gilead and son Les (Stephanie) Hollar of Columbus, grandchildren Josh (Amanda) Spears, Michaela (Austin) Tristan, Jacob Hollar and Madalyn Hollar and four great grandchildren.
Carol graduated from North Robinson High School and Otterbein University, obtaining her degree in early education. She served as Physical Education teacher for 30 years, all with the Clear Fork School District. Through the years, she served in numerous coaching positions within the district and was a dedicated supporter of all Colt and Lady Colt teams.
Carol was a member of Three Crosses Church in Butler where she frequently served as a Sunday School and Bible School teacher and sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Butler Lioness Club, where she loved serving at Prairie Peddler and numerous other events. She enjoyed numerous craft hobbies and loved baking cakes, along with attending activities of her grandchildren and spoiling her pets. Summertime evenings were always spent listening to Indians games on the radio.
Viewing will be Monday, September 8, 2025 from 5-6 pm at the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home where Carol's funeral will begin at 6 pm. The family invites visitors to wear your favorite Colt gear to the service, which would bring a large smile to Carol. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
