Sharon Ann Truex, 82, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Crystal Care Center of Ashland, with family at her side.
The daughter of Floyd and Pauline (Kocheiser) Swank, Sharon was born June 10, 1943 in Mansfield and graduated from Bellville High School. She later earned her degree in Drug and Alcohol Counseling. Always hard working, Sharon held positions as secretary, waitress, and counselor.
She was a member of Bellville St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Sharon enjoyed knitting. She was always up for either a day trip or extended vacation. She loved to go for drives, sometimes without a scheduled destination. She just appreciated the freedom of the open road. Planning numerous vacations, she traveled throughout the nation, experiencing the "big sky" country of the American west as well as the beauty of the east coast.
Holidays were always celebrated with family, which Sharon loved so much to be with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter Trudi (Jeff) Hull of Savannah, Georgia, and son Tim (Cindy) Truex of Bellville; grandchildren Sydney Hull, Grant Hull, Olivia (Brendan) Liberti and Ally (David) Winkel; great grandchildren Sophia, Nolan, Wade, Vera, Lily, and Penny.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Dixie Gehrisch and Don Truex.
A graveside service will be Thursday, October, 16, 2025 at 11 am in Bellville Cemetery. Pastor Christine Robinson will officiate. The Bellville Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the Truex family.
