Lillie May Belcher

Lillie May Belcher, age 83, of Sparta, Ohio passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Knox Community Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Salyersville, Kentucky on December 18, 1941, to the late Floyd and Julie Conley.
Lillie graduated from Big Walnut High School in Sunbury, Ohio and then married Patrick Lee "Pat" Belcher on April 29, 1961, in Sparta, Ohio. Together they shared almost 49 years of marriage until his passing on May 12, 2010.
Lillie worked for Hart's/Big Bear until the store's closing, and from there worked for and retired from Meijer. Lillie always enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and doing yard work. If you stopped by the house, many times Lillie would be watching one of her favorite shows, Perry Mason, Matlock, Bonanza, or any other good old classic western movie. Lillie was an animal lover and especially had a soft spot for all of her cats and her chickens. She was a good wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma. Lillie will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Christopher (LeeEllen) Belcher; daughters, Edith Zornes and Beth Belcher; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brothers, Henry Conley and Bill Conley; sisters, Kathleen Beener and Sandra Elzey; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lillie was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Conley and Julie (Penix) Conley; husband, Pat Belcher; sons, Kevin and Philip Belcher; siblings, Earl Conley, Harold Conley, Virginia Adams, Barbara Sue Green, and Marilyn Conley; and grandson, Matt.
Friends may call on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. at Snyder Funeral Homes, DeVore Chapel, 637 North State Route 61, Sunbury, Ohio 43074. A Funeral Service will follow visitation at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Jeff Deel officiating. Interment will follow at Bloomfield Cemetery, Centerburg, Ohio.
