Carol L. Imhoff
Carol L. Imhoff, 89 of Ashland passed away surrounded by her family early Tuesday morning, November 12, 2024 in Middleton Senior Living, Granville, Ohio, where she has resided for the past three years.
She was born on May 16, 1935, in Savannah, Ohio the daughter of the late Charles and Kathryn (nee Brubaker) Freytag.
Carol graduated from Savannah High School, Class of 1953 as its valedictorian. It was the same year on September 4th she would marry the love of her life James F. Imhoff. The couple would call Ashland home.
She was a devoted member of the First Christian Church where she sang in the choir. Carol had a wonderful sense of humor, quick wit and a great laugh; and always willing to hear and tell a good story. Carol loved meeting new people and never met a stranger. Both she and Jim maintained a very active lifestyle, always on the go; they loved attending community activities and going out to eat. They also loved spending time with their family.
She is survived by one daughter, Lynn (David) Reep of Bridgeport, West Virginia; one son, Keith (Stephanie) Imhoff of Granville, Ohio; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Geoffrey) Carroll, Elizabeth (Aaron) Charlton, Andrew (Jennifer) Reep, Grace (Alex) Kuszmaul and Sarah Imhoff; and seven great grandchildren, Abigail, Isabella and Benjamin Carroll, Elias and Johanna Reep and Olivia and Micah Charlton.
In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Jim Imhoff who passed from this life on January 2, 2018; and one brother, Dean (Ann) Freytag.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. in the Savannah Cemetery, 34 West Main St., Savannah, Ohio with Pastor Rich Pate presiding. Following the service a meal and time of fellowship will be in the First Christian Church, 1425 King Road, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church.
