Carol J. Kennedy, 82 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away at home on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from a battle with cancer, comforted with family by her side. Visitation, with family present, will be from 10:00 a.m. until Noon, Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Fellowship and refreshments will conclude Carol’s celebration back at Meyer Brothers Morningside Fellowship Hall following the graveside.
Carol was born on March 7, 1943 in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa to Asa and Vivian (McKee) Lesline. She received her education in the Sioux City Public Schools, attending Woodrow Wilson, and Central High School. Carol was a life-long resident of Siouxland, and worked at Interbake Foods for over 25 years.
Carol married Allan E. Kennedy on January 14, 1967 in Sioux City, and cherished her 51 years of marriage before his passing in 2018. Two children were born to the union, Tina and Jeffery. Carol enjoyed hunting, fishing, and various types of sports.
Carol leaves behind a daughter Tina M. (Johnny) Myers, and a son Jeffery A. (Deanna) Kennedy; four grandchildren Shannon Krueger and her daughter Savannah, Kyle (Ronda Lyons) Kennedy and their daughter Octavia, Austin (Sarah) Kennedy, and Taylor Kennedy; one brother Richard (Jill) Lesline; two sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, and one sister-in-law.
