Carol A. Lerro
August 7,1947 – November 14, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol (Buscavage) Lerro on November 14, 2025, at the age of 78. She died peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family.
Carol was born in Philadelphia on August 7, 1947, to the late Charles and Helen (nee Swetavage) Buscavage. She was a devoted wife to her beloved husband of 46 years, Anthony Lerro, a loving mother to her son, Matthew Lerro; dear sister to her brothers, Rick (Katrin) Buscavage and James (Anne) Buscavage; loving sister-in-law to Pat (Meg) Lerro, Maria Franchetti, Kathy (Chuck) Turchi, and Loretta Hixenbaugh; 31 nieces and nephews and many cousins.
She graduated from St. Hubert High School in Philadelphia and lived most of her adult life in New Jersey. Her professional life spanned over 43 years as a Lab Technician at the Temple University Skin and Cancer Hospital and a Library Assistant at Margaret E. Heggan Public Library.
Carol will be remembered for her kindness, her caring and generous spirit, and her unwavering support for her family and friends. She was an avid reader and had a keen eye for decorating. She also enjoyed gardening and designing floral arrangements and loved to spoil her many pets. Carol was very intelligent and, combined with her vast knowledge, she was expert at any type of trivia game and at solving Perry Mason mysteries. While she appreciated her quiet time, she valued time spent celebrating life events with her family and friends. Carol was also known for making her famous artichoke dip, which was always a hit at family gatherings. She will be deeply missed, and her memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation Saturday, November 22nd 9:00-11:00 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral service 11:00 AM.
