Carol Elaine Liblong

Carol Elaine Liblong, a beacon of generosity, wisdom, and selflessness, passed away suddenly on January 4, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on July 31, 1945, to the late Carl and Wanda Glazier, Carol's life was a testament to the love and care she poured into her family, her work, and her community.
Carol was the cherished mother of Lisa (Cordell) Liblong-Bristol and the proud grandmother to Nickolaus (Monica), Scott, and Chaz, and the doting great-grandmother to Jade. She was a beloved sister to Dawn (Don), Gayle (Chris), Linda, Sandy (Bill), and shared an unbreakable bond them. Carol's spirit will be forever intertwined with the memories of her late husband, Lawrence, brother Tim, and her grandson, Jared, who all preceded her in death.
For 40 years, Carol dedicated her career to the Almont Community Schools, where she touched the lives of countless students and colleagues with her kindness and dedication. Her commitment to education was paralleled only by her devotion to her faith as a long-standing member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lapeer.
Carol's passion for gardening was evident to all who knew her. As a Master Gardener, she volunteered countless hours to the display gardens at Lapeer County Medical Care Facility, leaving a legacy of beauty that will continue to flourish for years to come.
An avid reader, Carol found solace and joy in the pages of countless books, which fueled her wisdom and lent depth to her conversations. Her love for golf provided her with moments of challenge and triumph, mirroring the way she approached life's obstacles with grace and determination.
Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Carol's Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Jansen Family Funeral Home – Columbiaville.
