Carol Mae Micke, age 79, of Kaukauna passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born on April 7, 1945 in Green Bay, Wisconsin daughter of the late Clarence and Hazel (Quaintance) Zuehl. On September 5, 1964 she married Kenneth A. Micke St. Mary Catholic Church in Kaukauna. Kenneth preceded her in death on December 13, 2022. Carol worked for 15 years as a grinder operator at Bel Kaukauna. She enjoyed camping, especially at her permanent site at Kastle Kampgroud in Marion; fishing, playing cards; and most-of-all she cherished time spent with her beloved family.
She is survived by her children: Kevin (Shari) Micke, Kendall (Tina) Micke, Kim Micke; grandchildren: Cassie, Sean, Holly, Kyle, Kameron (Amber), Kenny (Kelly), Kelsey; great-grandchildren: Autumn, Sierra, Bentley, Kyler, Lincoln, Hazel, Madison, Haven. Carol is further survived by her brothers: David (Lynn) Ritchie, Robert Zuehl; siblings-in-law: Michelle Zuehl, Joann Verkuilen, Joyce Micke, Del Micke. In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, Kenneth, she was preceded in death by brothers: John and Gary, and sisters: Joann and Pat.
A Memorial Service for Carol will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Valley Funeral Home (2211 N. Richmond St., Appleton). Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Carol will be laid to rest alongside Kenneth at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah.
