Obituary published on Legacy.com by Gower Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. - Gilbert on Nov. 5, 2025.
Carol Ann Minnick, age 75, of Albrightsville PA passed away peacefully in the morning hours of November 3rd, surrounded by the love of her family, after a short but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Carol was born on January 3rd, 1950 in Newark, NJ, daughter to the late Alfred and Helen (Lynch) Holiday. She was a graduate of Vailsburg High School class of 1968.
Having found her soulmate, Carol married William "Big Bill" Minnick of Sayreville, NJ in 1971. The two remained married until Carol's passing, and their marriage served as an example of unwavering, timeless love and devotion. They started their lives together in Sayreville but would go on to reside in Wisconsin, and New Jersey making friends wherever they went. After retiring, they followed their dreams and bought a beautiful house in Pennsylvania- it became a hub for family to gather at (and as Carol joked, a hub for all the knick knacks no one else wanted). Carol had a magnetic energy that attracted the company of others and was a friend to all. She may have stood at only 4'10", but her personality was larger than life. As for Bill, he was happy calling anywhere home as long as he had Carol with him. Big Bill survives Carol in her passing. She was the sun that his life revolved around, and he will miss her light in a way words cannot describe.
Carol was a loving mother to her pride and joy, Jodie and Billy. She ran a tight ship yet still managed to raise her children with abundant love. A bus driver married to a Navy Veteran turned carpenter, Carol and Bill lived a modest life but provided their children with the best childhood. Jodie and Billy gave Carol two in-laws, John and Laura, that she insisted were loved as if they were her own. The four survive Carol, their memory of her will endure as the strongest, kindest, albeit fiesty woman they could have had the privilege to call Mom.
Carol drove a bus for the Sayreville school system for17years. She loved her job, her coworkers, and the children, retiring only when her health made it necessary. Never one to sit still, she filled her retirement with what was most important to her- time spent with her family and friends (and plenty of games of bingo).
Carol was most proud of her grandchildren, as anyone who was Facebook friends with her would know. Never missing a moment to dote or brag about her grandbabies, "Nanny"- Grandma was a title she joked she was too young for- is survived by Kaitlyn (husband Hassan), John (wife Samantha), Michael, Cameron, JJ, and Charli as well as great-grandchildren Layla, Nicole, and Zayn. Carol is also survived by a step-brother: James Holiday of Arizona.
Carol Ann was an unassuming woman that effortlessly gained the respect and attention of any room she entered. She was intricate, knowing how to crochet a blanket almost as well as she knew how to shoot a gun. She was loud in the ways she loved, in her road rage, and in the way she cheered on her beloved Eagles and Jets on Sundays. She will be missed endlessly.
