Carol Ann Myrick, 62, of Mooresville, passed away on February 20, 2024, at her home. She was born in Indianapolis on June 6, 1961, to the late Charles and Della (Elkins) Gunnell. Carol graduated from Mooresville High School in 1979 and worked in the accounting department at Duke Energy for 15 years. She earned her business management associate degree from Indiana Wesleyan College in 1999 and became a self-employed executive business consultant.

Carol became a member of Mooresville United Methodist Church in 1979. She was also an active member of the VFW Post 1111 and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 103.

Carol enjoyed the outdoors, fond of the flowers and birds. She hunted deer and wild boar. When she was able, Carol loved taking trips to Florida and around Indiana to watch the migration of the sandhill cranes with her family.

Carol was the type of person who would do anything for anyone. She had a heart of gold and a smile for everyone. Her family will greatly miss her.

Carol is survived by her brother, Brian (Angela) Gunnell; sisters, Suzanne (Donald) Champlin, Cherall (Terry) Humble; niece, Briana (Zach) Lindsey; nephews, John (Diana) Hummel and Brenden (Iris) Gunnell; great-niece, Mia Honeyman; great-nephew, Colton Lindsey; former husband and friend, Brad Myrick; his children, Justin (Sarah) Myrick and Kristen Myrick; a grandson she called her own, Hunter Myrick; and her beloved dogs, Annabelle and Lizzie.

Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Carol’s life on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the chapel at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville.
