Carol Ann Parks

Carol Ann Parks, of Rolla, Missouri, passed away Friday, October 10, 2025 at the age of 87.
Carol was born on December 9, 1937 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Norman Newman and Mary (McCord) Brines. She was united in marriage to the love of her life the late Dr. William "Bill" Frank Parks on December 29, 1956.
In addition to her parents and husband, Carol is preceded by her grandmother Maria McCord; one daughter, Stefanie Maria Elder; three brothers, Kenny Newman, Robert Newman, Richard Amick; and two sisters, Pamela Tomasetti and Candace Grookett.
Carol was a devoted and faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Rolla where she worked as a preschool teacher and church secretary. She found great joy in teaching Sunday school, helping with the children's choir program and sharing her love of faith with children. She loved working on various church committees and loved planning decorations for church suppers. Her caring spirit extended into the community through her active involvement in the Girl Scouts and as a dedicated room mom throughout her children's and grandchildren's school years. Carol had a passion for crafting and sewing, and her creativity shone through in the beautiful things she made for those she loved. She had a deep appreciation for animals and the beauty of nature, often finding peace and inspiration outdoors. Above all, Carol cherished her family, her greatest joy came from the time spent with those she loved most.
Carol will be sadly missed by her surviving family which includes: her daughter, Jennifer Heberlie and husband Joe of Rolla; brother, Jeffrey Amick of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Justin Eli Heberlie of Rolla, Jacob Sinclair Heberlie and spouse T. Sullivan of St. Louis, MO, Kane C. Meek and Jace Robert Elder both of Rolla; niece Dawn Watters; great niece, Anneka Watters; great great nephew, Alex Watters; and many other nephews, nieces, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service for Carol A. Parks will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Easter Seals of the Midwest St. Louis or Heartland Humane Society of Missouri.
