Carol Janet Patton, 90, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 22, 2025. She was born on July 30, 1935 in Indianapolis, IN to Ernest L. and Bernece Tipps Dell. She graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1953. She retired in 1990 from Indianapolis Public Schools as a Secretary to the principal. She enjoyed bowling in the Monday morning mixed bowling league. She also enjoyed luncheons with her friends and loved family get togethers. She also played the organ and piano for over 60 years in church, numerous weddings and G.H. Herrmann Funeral Homes for 15 years bringing solace and comfort.

Survivors include include 3 children, Debbie Dunn, Dennis Patton (Nancy) and DeAnn Patton, 5 grandchildren, Jamie Dunn, Jeff (Paige) Dunn, Jonathan (Bethany) Dunn, Valerie Parker and David (Jenna) Patton, 12 great grandchildren, Joey, Kenzie,Timmy, Aliza, Elijah and Levi Dunn, Austin, Charlotte, Savannah Parker, Zayne Nuckels, Caesar and Saint Patton. She was preceded in death by both her parents, and her husband of 66 years, Jim Patton.

Visitation will be Friday, August 29, 2025 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN. Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 11:30 AM. She will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wheeler Mission.
