Carol Pierre, a cherished soul born on November 2, 1954, in Vieux Bourg d'Aquin, Haiti, departed this life on February 9, 2025. She was a beloved daughter to Jean-Baptiste Castor and Vernezia Gourdet and grew up surrounded by the warmth of her family and the rich culture of her homeland.
Carol's educational journey began at Les Soeurs d'Aquin in Aquin for primary school and continued at College Immaculée de la Lue in Port-au-Prince for secondary education. She graduated as a laboratory technician in Haiti. She became a cosmetologist pursuing her passion for beauty while in the United States.
In New Jersey, Carol found love and companionship with her husband, Daniel Pierre. Together, they built a wonderful life, marking 44 years of marriage filled with joy and devotion. As an industrious entrepreneur with a passion for hairstyling, Carol put her heart into everything she did. Her compassion shone brightly in her work as a nursing assistant at Holly Manor Center, where she cared for the elderly with unwavering kindness.
Carol's greatest treasure was her relationships-her beloved husband, Daniel, her siblings Elaine Plaisir and Richard Castor, as well as her dear brothers and sisters-in-law, including Jean-Mary, Stanley, Stevenson, Jackson, Marie France, Betina, Jesula, David, Gracien, Abed-Nego, Simone Castor, Marie Lourdes Castor, Marie Alice and Eunice Pierre.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her nieces and nephews-Max Jr., Teddy, Mervin Castor, Andrew Dambreville, Seymour and Gregory Plaisir, as well as Rachelle Dambreville, Solange Jacotin, Johanne Plaisir, Yanique Castor, Richardy Castor, Richardine Castor, Alain, Ginsly, Wooliana, Rodney, Joal, Reynaldi, Theresa, Aland, Michelle, Melissa, Ashley, Alex, and Chantal. Carol also cherished the bond with her great-nephews and nieces and had a close-knit friendship with her cousins, notably Odette, Gerta, and Eleante Gourdet, and her beloved cousin, Serge Castor.
Carol Pierre was a radiant spirit, with a beautiful singing voice, whose memories will be forever etched in the hearts of those who loved her. Her courage in the face of life's challenges and her profound dedication to her family and community will be remembered and celebrated for years to come. May her legacy of love, compassion, and strength continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
