Carol Ann Raade, 81, of Wichita Falls, passed away peacefully on the 26th of June 2024 at Hospice with her family present with her.
She was born on August 19th, 1942 in Jamestown, ND to Ruth and Adolph Daugs. Carol was best known as "Grandma" to anyone that knew her. She took care of everyone around her, doing whatever she needed to do to lighten the load of someone else. Her great-grandsons Zakhary and Kyson were her pride and joy and who she lived for daily, going to every school program and sports event she could their entire lives. She loved going thrifting, and doing her diamond dot paintings for hours.
She is preceded in death by her husband Donald, who passed December of 2022, after a marriage of 50 years together. Telling their old life stories was one of her favorite things to reminisce on. Even if she couldn't remember what she had for breakfast, she could remember every significant date of their life together. She is also reunited in the after-life with her three sons; Bucky, Lane, and Sam, her brother Jim Daugs and both of her parents.
She is survived by her sister Linda Butler, daughter and husband Shawnna and Darrell Robertson, granddaughters Nicole and Keri Hiebert, and great grandsons Zakhary Ross and Kyson Moore, along with multiple extended family members who loved her dearly.
We will forever miss and remember Mom, Grandma, Grammy, Carol for her bright red lipstick and the best advice she loved to give, "Sh*t happens, just rise above it."
