Carol A. Rhoades

Carol Ann Rhoades, 78 of Hamilton, died on Friday, February 13th after a sudden and brief illness. Born in Beverly, she was the daughter to the late Alex and Grace (Marletta) Korpusik and beloved wife to Robert Rhoades.

Carol attended St. Mary's school in Beverly until 1962 where she enjoyed being a part of the drum and bugle core. She then attended Beverly High School and graduated in 1966. In her early years she worked for Bell telephone company in Salem. In her later years she enjoyed cleaning homes. Many of her clients became her special friends. She loved to travel especially with her family. She enjoyed going for long walks. One of her favorite places to walk was Manasota beach in Florida. Her favorite hobby was bingo on Sunday night. The most important thing to her was her family. She loved her husband dearly of 56 years. She loved spending time with her daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren. They were her "world". She loved playing cards and made every moment fun. She leaves her family with fond memories that will be cherished forever.

Carol is survived by her husband Robert Rhoades of Hamilton; one daughter, Tricia Hamilton and her husband, Dale of Ellsworth, ME; one brother, Alex Korpusik of Venice, FL; two sisters, Sandra LeClaire of Beverly, Linda Korpusik of Beverly; two grandchildren, Jared Hamilton of Charleston, SC, Colby Hamilton of Ellsworth, ME.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by one son, Andrew Rhoades, one sister, Joan Marcos.

Her graveside service will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Beverly on Friday February 20th at 11:30am. Visiting hours will be held prior at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly from 10am to 11am. Contributions may be made in Carol's memory to St. Judes Children's Hospital.
