Carol Scalley Obituary
Carol A. (Hess) Scalley, 79, went home to be with the Lord on February 1, 2024.
Born in Akron, she was raised in Tallmadge and graduated from Tallmadge High School. Carol was an Akron resident and worked for Fred W. Albrecht Grocery Co. for over 40 years. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Bernadine Hess; brother-in-law, Gary Shyjka; and cousin, Linda Hanks. She is survived by her daughters, Terri Larkin and Denise (Jim) Sheak; grandchildren, Justin (Rachel) Larkin, Tim Sheak, Nathan Larkin, Billy Sheak; sisters, Barb Shyjka and Becky Hess; cousin, Judy Dean; nephews Jason (Tammy) Shyjka and Todd Shyjka; and many great-nieces and nephews; good friend, Greg.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday, February 6th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale St. NW, Uniontown, OH 44685. Funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. with burial to follow at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, plant a tree in memory of Carol.
