Carol A. Scarpaci, 77, of Danvers, died peacefully on Friday evening, May 23, 2025, at Beverly Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of Frank Scarpaci, with whom she shared nearly fifty-six years of marriage.
Born in Salem on May 7, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Agnes (DeFreitas) Marshall. Carol was raised and educated in Peabody and was a proud graduate of Peabody High School and Merrimack College.
For the past 43 years, Carol made her home in Danvers, where she was a familiar and friendly face in the Danvers Public Schools and later at St. John's Prep, where she worked until her retirement.
A woman of deep faith, Carol was a devoted parishioner and weekly communicant at St. Mary of the Annunciation Church in Danvers.
She found peace and pleasure in knitting, reading, and watching tennis, and she especially cherished family trips to Walt Disney World and travelling with her husband. Above all, her greatest joy came from her role as grandmother to her six beloved grandchildren. Whether cheering from the sidelines of a game or simply spending time together, Carol treasured every moment with them.
In addition to her husband, she leaves three children, Jason Scarpaci and his wife Kristen of Danvers, Jared Scarpaci and his wife Maija of Topsfield, and Amy Cangiano and her husband Michael of Danvers; six grandchildren, Jack, Daniella, Ella, John, Ara, and Soren; a sister, Judith Blodgett and her husband Jonathan of Peabody; a brother, Robert Marshall and his husband Kurt Meister of Florida; as well as a wonderful network of friends whom she loved dearly.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 9 a.m. in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant Street, Danvers. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 30, from 4 to 7 p.m. at C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm Street, Danvers Square. Donations in Carol's memory may be made to St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish, c/o 90 Forest Street, Danvers, MA 01923. I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs. Scarpaci. She was a wonderful woman and if you ever wanted to know what was going on in the Danvers schools in the 80s and 90s, you went to ask Carole! She was a wonderful woman and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her! All my love and best to the Scarpaci family, she will be very missed!

So very sorry to hear the sad news that Carole had passed. We have so many great memories when our kids played sports together and of course our wonderful Christmas breakfasts organized by Mal Boudreau. She was a wonderful person.

Such a loving cousin and a big part of my childhood and early adulthood. You were always ready to `step in´ to solve issues/problems. My memories are filled with gratitude and love that you were part of my life. May the angels give you peace.
Much love and aloha, Valerie and Chuck and family. xo
