Carol C. Shobe, 78, of Delphos, passed away November 21, 2021, at The Meadows of Delphos. She was born on February 16, 1943, to Homer and Thelma (Sopher) Buzard. They both preceded her in death. On June 18, 1960, she was united in marriage to Maynard Shobe. He preceded her in death on February 3, 2018.
Carol is survived by her son, Jeffrey J. Shobe of Delphos; two daughters, Terri (Duane) Coil and Sherry (Joe) Warnecke, both of Delphos; a daughter-in-law, Jill Shobe of Delphos; a sister, Sharron (Dick) Hiegel of Delphos ; a brother, Steven (Linda) Buzard of Delphos ; ten grandchildren, Nikki (Jeremy) Sherman, Derek (Amanda) Coil, Damon (Emilie) Coil, Danielle Herron, Brandon Herron, Ryan (Meredith) Warnecke, Whitney (Curtiss) Gillespie, Troy (Sara) Warnecke, Lauren (Brandon) Tucker, Morgan (Nick) Reynolds, and Gavin (Maddie) Shobe; and 24 great-grandchildren, Sami, Clay, Haylee, Paige, Spencer, Chandler, Kiera, Eli, Kali, Carlee, Brandon Jr., Victoria, Audrey, Briana, Isiaha, Evan, Drew, Mara, Izzy, Rorie, baby Gilllespie, Brexley, Blaire, and Beau.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Mike Shobe; brothers, Fredrick Buzzard, Thomas, Robert, Laurence, Neal and Donald; sisters, Peggy Leppla, Martha Moffet, Patricia Maxwell, Glenna Hammond and Mary Bayman.
Carol was a homemaker. She loved spending time and socializing with people, especially her children, grandchildren and her dogs. She also enjoyed camping.
Funeral services will be held at Harter and Schier Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Mausoleum at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lima. Pastor Steve Haddix will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at the funeral home.
Memorial Contribution may be made to CHP Hospice, or to the donor's choice
