Carol Taber Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Martens-Rembs Funeral Home - Junction City on Jan. 21, 2024.
Carol Jean Taber, age 76, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away peacefully at Edgewater Haven in Port Edwards, Wisconsin, on January 19, 2024.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Milladore, with Father Jerome Patric officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am and continue until the time of service. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Martens/Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Carol was born on October 17, 1947, in Wisconsin Rapids, to Harvey and Mildred (Krebsbach) Rusch. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids in 1965. She was employed at Pre-Way and then Consolidated Papers for 28 years.
Carol loved her doxies. They were her babies. She enjoyed quilting, cross stitching, sewing, reading, movies, craftmaking, baking, puzzles, and passing on her knowledge to family and friends. She also enjoyed her cup of coffee while chatting with friends and family.
Known for her quick wittedness and a sense of humor that brightened the darkest days, Carol had a heart of gold that endeared her to all who knew her. Her spitfire and playful banter were always delivered with love and warmth.
Throughout her life, Carol touched the hearts of many with her kindness. Her nurturing spirit and love for her family were evident in all that she did.
She is survived by her sons Scott (Christine) Taber and Brian Taber, granddaughter Catherine Taber, and great grandson Grayson Taber. She is further survived by her brother Patrick Rusch and sister Christine (Arnie) DeWitt, many nieces and nephews, and her dog Tesa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters MaryJane (Richard) Armagost and Brenda Rusch.
Carol will be dearly missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
