Carol Ann Teasdale

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Ann Teasdale on July 31, 2024. Carol was born in Hartford, CT on March 30, 1935 and was a 50-year resident of West Hartford before settling in Bloomfield for her final years. Carol graduated from Mount St. Joseph's Academy and Endicott College.
Carol was predeceased by her husband of nearly 60 years, William J. Teasdale, in 2016. Her beloved family includes four children: Pam D'Amico and her children: Sarah Jackson, her daughter Zazie, Caroline Jackson, and Ryan and Katy D'Amico; Liz Fitzgerald and her children: Meaghan, Hannah, Grace and Owen; Hilary Sherrill (Mike) and their children: Avery, Claire and Nora; and William J. Teasdale, Jr. (Cara) and their daughter Kennedy.
Carol was known as an avid reader, gardener, birder, bridge player and self-proclaimed etiquette and grammar queen. Her greatest joy was found down at the shore, first at Hammonasset, then at Grove Beach Point in Westbrook, and finally at Leetes Island where she would spend her days swimming, reading and listening to birdsongs. Carol was at her happiest when surrounded by her four children and her grandchildren. She was affectionately known as "G" by her adoring grandchildren; and "The Goodie Lady" by her co-workers at Cricket Press, where she worked alongside her husband Bill for many years. In every phase of her life, Carol took great pride in her integrity, loyalty and impeccable taste.
At Carol's request, there will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Life is planned for Sunday, September 22, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the Rockledge Grille, 289 S. Main Street, West Hartford. Burial will be private.
