Carole Kay (Husted) Mancini, 84, of Kensington, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on September 5, 1941, in Hartford, CT, Carole was the daughter of the late Arthur H. and Ruth A. (Lehmann) Husted. She grew up in West Hartford, where she later met the love of her life, Vittorio "Victor" Mancini, an adventurous and devoted husband with whom she shared a joyful and full life.
A graduate of Conard High School in West Hartford, Carole went on to build a life centered on family, friendship, and community. She pursued a career at Royal Typewriter then moving on to Advo Systems in Hartford, all while being a devoted mother to her three sons.
Carole was predeceased by her beloved husband, Victor, with whom she created countless cherished memories. Together, they were gracious hosts, known for welcoming friends and family into their home. They especially loved vacationing in Las Vegas and tending to their racehorses, shared passions that brought them great joy.
In later years, Carole found comfort and companionship with Earl Shine. The two shared a love for travel and spent many happy days cruising tropical waters, visiting antique car shows, and enjoying evenings at the local Irish club.
Carole is survived by her three loving sons: Jack Mancini and his wife Kathy of Southington, Vittorio "Vic" Mancini Jr. and his best friend Anita Silver of Berlin, and Theodore "Ted" Mancini and his wife Sonia of West Hartford. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Anthony, Michael, and Angela Mancini, all of West Hartford; her godson, Michael Ugliarolo of Hartford; her sister-in-law, Concetta "Connie" Mancini of West Hartford; her longtime companion, Earl Shine; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, Carole was predeceased by her in-laws, Angela and Salvatore Mancini; her brother-in-law, Nicola "Nicky" Mancini and his wife Angela; her sister-in-law, Nicolina Mancini and her husband Alfred; her brother-in-law, Donato "Danny" Mancini; and her nephew, Thomas Mancini.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 16, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford. A Funeral Service celebrating Carole's life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 17, at West Hartford United Methodist Church, 1358 New Britain Avenue.
