Carol Lynn Weaver
January 10, 1948 - December 18, 2023
Carol Lynn Weaver, a devoted caregiver, a beacon of love, and a talented decorator, passed away on December 18, 2023, at the age of 75. Her life was characterized by selflessness, creativity, and unwavering dedication to her family and community.
Born on January 10, 1948, in Detroit to Nicholas Tomulet and Mary German Tomulet, Carol was a devoted mother and wife. Her caring nature shone brightly through her dedication as a caregiver to her son, Brett, who passed away on June 21, 2014. She volunteered for sixteen years at Mary's Children, where she served as the "Story Lady." This program, catering to individuals with developmental disabilities, was close to her heart, and her contributions were invaluable.
Carol was an artist in her own right, displaying her talent through her expert decorating skills. With an exceptional eye for design, she brought beauty and harmony into every space she adorned. Her passion for decorating extended to her work with a friend, where she cleaned homes, sharing her gift with others.
A loving family woman, Carol cherished the moments spent caring for and nurturing her loved ones. She shared 50 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Robert Weaver, who passed away on October 24, 2020. Their union began on October 25, 1969, at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Detroit. Carol's dedication to her family extended to her children, Todd (Crystal) Weaver and the late Brett Weaver, and her cherished grandchildren, Jenica, Alexandria, Logan, Layla, and Luke.
She was the sister of the late Mary Ann Tomulet and a beloved friend to many. Carol's joy was found in spending time at the family cottage in Gladwin, cherishing moments of togetherness and serenity.
Visitation for Carol will be held on Thursday from 2-8 pm, followed by her funeral on Friday at 10 am at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, located at 705 W. 11 Mile Rd. (4 blks E. of Woodward), Royal Oak. She will be laid to rest at Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak.
In honor of Carol's memory, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Troy~Timothy Fund, 2601 John R. Rd, Troy 48083 or Mary's Children, 495 E. 14 Mile Rd., Clawson 48017.
