With profound sadness we announce the passing of Carol Woodruff, our loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all whose lives she touched.
Carol (Savage) Woodruff went home to her Lord and Savior on April 18th, 2024, at the age of 70. She was born on October 2nd, 1953, in Willoughby, Ohio to Robert and Thais Savage.
Carol was a dedicated wife, mother, and nana first and foremost. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as nana. She had an active life in the church, approximately thirty years at Brice United Methodist and Grace Fellowship the last seven years.
Carols heart was also full of love for animals. She grew up on a farm in Athens, Ohio, with horses and dogs. Later in life she had always had a cat or two.or three, maybe even four at a time in her house. (Some have been questionable picks!) Her home always had an open door to anyone that was in need of love and a safe place to call home. Just as she had several cats, she had several of her daughter's friends that called her mom and called her place home.
Anyone that knew her would agree that she had the sweetest heart and gentlest spirit. She was the epitome of unconditional love.
Carol is survived by her husband, Ken; daughters, Randi and Kelli; and grandson, AJ. Stepsons, Kyle and Ken Jr.; sons-in-law, Victor and Musah. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Terry Mapes; nephew, Danny Mapes; sister-in-law, Connie and her husband, Dick Isler.
She is preceded by her sister, Linda, and their parents, Robert and Thais.
As we mourn the loss of Carol, let us take comfort in the knowing that she now rests in the arms of her savior, free from pain and suffering and surrounded by the eternal light of God's love. May her soul find peace and eternal rest in the heavenly kingdom, where she will dwell in the house of the lord forevermore.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1
