Carole Jean Fenimore, age 92, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025. She was born on June 3, 1933, in Mishawaka, Indiana, to Victor and Lucille DeClark.

Carole was a graduate of Adams High School, Class of 1951. She was first married to Delbert "Del" Briggs, with whom she shared many years of marriage until his passing on January 8, 1984. Together, they raised two children, Greg and Vicki.

In 1993, Carole married her second husband, Ted Fenimore. They remained married until Ted's passing on March 13, 2018. Carole was a devoted and loving mother , grandmother, and great-grandmother

Carole found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved shopping at discount stores, caring for her grandchildren, appreciating the beauty of trees, lighthouses, antiques, and reading her Bible daily. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was a devoted member of St. Monica's Catholic Church.

Carole is survived by her daughter Vicki (James) Stabnik.

She was a proud grandmother to Brianne (Thomas) Collier and Kyle (Erica) Briggs Stethem, and a cherished great-grandmother to Burke and Brynn Duncan, Krista (Sam) Brunnemer, Madelyn Collier, Alexandra Stethem, Raegan Lacluyse, and Murphy Stethem.

She is further survived by her brother-in-law, Richard Briggs, as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.

Carole was preceded in death by her parents, both her husbands, and her son Gregg Briggs.

Carole will be remembered for her gentle spirit, deep faith, and unwavering love for her family.

A visitation for Carole will take place on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 11:00AM- 1:00PM, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W 8th Street, Mishawaka. Service will begin immediately at 1:00PM in the funeral home. Burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery, 1415 N Main St, Mishawaka.
