Carole Elaine Reed, born on October 27, 1935, in Vici, OK, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2024, at the age of 88 in Del City, OK. A dedicated medical transcriptionist, Carole was respected for her diligence and cherished for her ability to engage in long, meaningful conversations.

Born the youngest of six to Jesse and Myrle Ladd, and raised on the family farm, Carole's early life was marked by academic excellence, graduating as valedictorian from Richmond High School. Her zest for life was evident in her youthful days, playing basketball and softball, and her love for going out dancing. As she matured, her interests shifted to watching sports and enjoying trips to the casino, where she spent many joyful hours.

Throughout her life, Carole experienced the unique challenges and adventures of being an Air Force spouse, traveling the world and adapting to the transient military lifestyle with resilience and grace.

Carole's legacy is carried on by her daughters, Janelle Thornton, Elizabeth Potts, and Allison Reed Lake; her granddaughter, Jennifer Evans; and great-grandchildren, Austin Peeler, Stephen Peeler, and Katelyn Evans. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dorwin S. Reed; her grandson, Donald Keith Evans; and siblings, Lucille Hildebrand, Burton Ladd, Juanita Moss, Ima Jean Button, and Jerry Ladd.

Carole's indomitable spirit and loving memory will forever resonate with those who knew her.
