Carolina Armendarez (Carol), age 81, reunited with the love of her life, Sunday morning on October 26, 2025, at the Rankin County Hospital District, surrounded by her loving family, two days shy of turning 82 years young.
Carol was born on October 28, 1943, in Sheffield, Texas, to two loving parents, Albert and Rosie Rodriguez. She had nine siblings. Carol met the love of her life, Juan Armendarez, due to love at first sight.
She worked for Rankin Hospital before her retirement. Carol enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts, cooking, and spending time with family she created.
Carol was known for being “Nana” to many, taking care of family for many years, being SARCASTIC, funny, and stubborn, but a lovable lady.
Carol was preceded in death by her loving parents, Albert and Rosie Rodriguez, five siblings, daughter Brenda Armendarez, and her loving “honey” Juan Armendarez.
Carol is survived by her three children, Johnny (Delia) Armendarez, Paula Armendarez and Tish Armendarez, all of Rankin, Texas; five grandchildren, Lesle (Kenny) Armendarez of Midland, Texas, Jessica (Michael) McCall of Presidio, Texas, Thomas Joe of Midland, Texas, Ashlie (Emilio) Armendarez of Fort Stockton, Texas, and Isaiah Armendarez of Rankin, Texas; fifteen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the St. Thomas Catholic Church from 10:00am to 9:00pm with Rosary at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Church with burial following at the Rankin Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Donavan Baiza, Isaiah Armendarez, Noah Armendarez, Branlyn Baiza, Isaac Armendarez, and Kaden McCall. Honorary bearers will be Jaden McCall and Grayson Baiza.
The Armendarez family would love to extend their deepest gratitude to all who have sent their love and prayers during these troubling days. We also want to thank the Rankin County Hospital District for making our Carol comfortable until her last breath.
