In the grand tapestry of time, a radiant thread has woven its course and now rests, leaving behind a brilliant pattern of love, laughter, and life. It is with deep sorrow, yet profound respect, that we bid farewell to Caroline Elizabeth Bissmeyer, who commenced her earthly journey in the charming town of Louisville, KY, in the November of 1934, and concluded it in the serene city of Corning, NY, in August 2024.
Caroline was the embodiment of vivacious energy, her heart waltzing to the rhythm of life. An art enthusiast, her grace painted invisible strokes in the air as she played and painted, captivating and enchanting those lucky enough to witness. Her love for theatre was an echo of her own life's script, rich with emotion and experiences that transcended the ordinary.
Her soulful laughter was a melody that resonated in the hearts of those around her, a testament to her infectious joy and boundless spirit. A nurturing mother, she raised her children with devotion and love; their names, Laura, Lee, and Jonathan, are the echoes of her legacy, each one a verse in the song of her life.
Caroline had a deep-rooted passion for music, her voice a symphony that carried the whispers of her soul to the ears of listeners. Her tunes filled the air, a manifestation of her inner harmony and rhythm.
In the November of '64, she entwined her life with Norbert Lee Bissmeyer Sr., a union of two souls that transcended the physical realm. Their love story endured even as Norbert departed this world two decades ago, leaving Caroline to dance solo in the ballroom of life.
Caroline leaves behind a rich legacy, with her siblings Mary Jo and Jimmy and her children Laura, Lee, and Jonathan, their spouses, and a symphony of grandchildren - Andrew, Li, Yvie, Didi, Claire, Clement, Audrey, Emilie, Sam, Paris, and even a great-grandchild, Sawyer, who are all testament to the love she so generously bestowed.
The complexities of Caroline's life defy the constraints of ink and paper. No words can encapsulate the grandeur of her journey from 1934 to 2024, nor the depth of her impact on those she encountered. Her final years were a testament to her resilience, as she waged a brave battle against the fading light of her memory, and yet, she remained an active participant in the dance of life, always remembering her children.
Caroline Elizabeth Bissmeyer, now at peace, is no longer in the wings but has taken center stage in a celestial theatre, dancing in the light with her beloved Norbert. She has left behind footprints on the stage of life, and in the hearts of those she touched. Her symphony continues to play, her dance continues to inspire, and her laughter continues to echo. Our grief is a tribute to her; our memories, her encore.
