Caroline Ann (Neurohr) Seaver, 97 years of Yorkville, IN passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, May 2, 2025. Caroline was born in the home her parents built on Leatherwood Road and grew up learning to farm the land alongside her three siblings. After graduating from Guilford High School, Caroline met the love of her life Dolan. He knew from their first meeting that she was the one for him and actually remarked "I'm gonna marry that girl". And, he was right, they were married less than a year later and he always treated her like a queen. Caroline & Dolan lived in Aurora and Greendale before moving into the main house of the Glenmary Missioners for two years where they farmed the land for the onsite priests and brothers. Eventually, they moved back to her childhood home on Leatherwood which is where they remained. Caroline was a woman of faith and a devout Catholic. She belonged to St. Ann's Altar Society for years, taught bible study and CCD at St. Lawrence, visited the holy land, including a memorable stop at Our Lady of Fatima grotto, and received all her sacraments at St. Martin's. She loved to cook and bake and was famous for her sourcream coffee cake. She was an excellent seamstress and with much pride made her daughter's wedding dress. Also quite the card shark, Caroline enjoyed playing Euchre and Uno with family and friends. Fulfilling her adventurous side, Caroline took several trips with friends including bus tours to Martha's Vineyard, Colorado, and Georgia. She was always very close with her grandchildren and enjoyed being part of their lives. Caroline volunteered at their school by helping out on special days, going on field trips with the class, and went on a mission trip with her grandson's CYO group to Alaska. Caroline will be deeply missed by her children Larry (Belinda) Seaver, Ron (Debbie) Seaver, and Mary (Dave) Hartman; 19 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces. She is preceded in death by Dolan Seaver, her husband of 41 years; son Jim Seaver; siblings Frank, Pete, and Leo Neurohr; and parents Otto and Mary (Shantz) Neurohr. Services for Caroline will be held on Wednesday, May 7 at St. Martin's Campus of All Saints Parish. Rosary will begin at 10:00am followed by visitation until the start of Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30pm. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery. For those unable to attend, Mass will be live streamed at https://www.youtube.com/user/aspweeklyhomily. Memorials can be made to St. Martin's Cemetery Fund, Glenmary Home Missions, Indiana Right to Life, Masses, and Our Hospice of Southeastern Indiana. Family and friends are encouraged to leave condolences at www.andres-wuestefeldfh.com.
