Carollee Wetherbee ObituaryCarollee Duke Silakowski Wetherbee, 45, of Erie, passed away at home after an extended illness. Born in Erie, PA on April 2, 1980, to Romona (Hill) Wagner and Daniel Wetherbee.
Carol was a lifelong resident of Erie and a proud graduate of Central High School. She went on to earn her CNA certification and began her career in caregiving at Fairview Manor. Over the years, she also worked at Walmart, St. Mary's, and most recently at CRI, where she remained until health challenges made it difficult to continue.
Carol had a vibrant spirit and a variety of interests. She loved gardening, cats, crafting, and had a passion for roller skating and break-skating. But more than anything, Carol cherished time with the people she loved. She had a special way of making others feel seen and valued, often through thoughtful, personalized gifts that reflected just how much she cared. Carol will be deeply missed by all who had the joy of knowing her.
She is preceded in death by her dad, Robert Wagner, nephew, DJ, grandparents, Dick Wagner and Christina (Veneziano) Courson.
In addition to her parents, Carol is survived by her daughters, Jordan Duke and her father Jamie Duke, and Cadence Silakowski and her father Kevin Silakowski, her siblings, Sheila Wagner and Derek Wetherbee (Emily), nephew, Derek Fisher, grandmother, Judy Wagner, and aunt, Mel Banner. Many aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
