Carolyn Dougherty Obituary
Born August 21, 1934, in Louisville, OH, Carolyn grew up in Canton. At age eight, she and her family moved to India where she studied in Darjeeling before finishing her last two years at Lincoln High School in Canton. She went on to work in the insurance industry for 24 years. Carolyn loved ballroom dancing and traveling and was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi and the 39'ers Single Club.
She is predeceased by her parents, Julia and William Dougherty; and her brother William (Helen) Dougherty of Newnan, GA, and survived by her nephew William (Stuart) Dougherty of Roswell, GA, and great niece, Elliott, and great nephew, James.
Visitation for friends and family will be Saturday, May 10 from 2-4 p.m. at Schneeberger Funeral Home, 2222 Fulton Road N.W. Canton, OH 44709. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Stark County Humane Society.
