Carolyn Lowe Obituary

Published by Legacy on Apr. 6, 2025.
Carolyn Louise Lowe was called home to our Lord on Friday, April 4, 2025 surrounded by her family. Born on November 30, 1937, to Daniel Walter and Ardene Elizabeth Beltz, Carolyn was cherished by so many who knew her. She graduated from Southeast High School, and continued her education at Oklahoma Baptist University, South Plains College, College of the Southwest in Hobbs, NM where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree. She continued her education at the University of North Texas in Denton. She married William Burton Lowe on March 1, 1958 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was a mother to two children. She taught Kindergarten from 1967 to 1993. She will be remembered for her love for her Lord and Savior, her family and friends, and those precious grandchildren and great grandchildren who kept her on her toes and laughing. She loved her time with them, even when they pushed her buttons. She played the piano and organ at church for over 34 years. She enjoyed her card ministry and being an encourager. She also had weekly time at McDonald's passing out scripture and salvation tracts. Her hobbies included coffee group, Bible studies, game days and nights, and traveling with her church group. She adored her church home, Southcrest Baptist Church and all the people there. She sang in the choir and was active in her Sunday school class and the quilting ministry.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and great grandbabies Kalli Rynn and Baby K Detwiler. Carolyn's brother, Gerald Beltz, joined her in heaven shortly after she arrived. She is survived by her sisters, Janice (George) Newton, and Eileen (Alva Ray) Marley, son, Mike Lowe and Brenda of Lubbock, daughter, Terri Lewis and Randall of Allen, TX, grandchildren, Trent and Kristi Lowe, Ryan and Keitha Detwiler, Brittany Lewis, and Preston and Meagan Lewis. Carolyn is also survived by several great grandchildren, Brealyn Lowe, Kinslea Lowe, Chandler Lewis, Jayla Lewis, Kason Detwiler, Kelbi Detwiler, Kammi Detwiler, Camden Lewis, and Caroline Lewis.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the ministries of Southcrest Baptist Church.

I was so blessed to have known Carolyn. I met her on our church's Senior Adult trips. She always had a smile and positive outlook. She would send us anniversary cards that I have treasured through the years. I will miss her but celebrate her Heavenly promotion & healed body.
