Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother
Carolyn V. Penick passed away peacefully at her home in Yorkville,
Illinois, on Saturday, October 18, 2025. Together forever in peace,
with her devoted husband, Loren C. Penick.
Carolyn is survived by her children Amy S. Penick, Jeffrey L. Penick,
and Julie A. Sliwinski (Frank); her grandchildren Cynthia Robertson
(Raymond), Kelli Anthony (TJ), and the late Stephen Palmatier
(Kristen); and her great-grandchildren Henry, Jude, Harvey, Riley,
Zelda, Hugh and Wyatt.
Carolyn cherished her historic home in Yorkville, her time living in
Taiwan, and all things holiday and family gatherings. She found her
greatest joy in time spent with her children, grandchildren, and
great-grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and love of family.
A private family service will be held, with a celebration of life to
be announced at a later date. Emails can be sent to
