He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ruth Rigby Eschete; children, Darnell Eschete-Preston (Charlein), Lonny Eschete (Doreen), Audra Eschete (Nathan Pitre), Daniel Eschete, and Alyson Trahan (Billy); step children, Wendy McClain (Charles) and Sam Sappington; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Carl T. Eschete (Ann); and mother of his children, Darlene Bergeron.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Waldron J. Eschete and Blanche Dupre Eschete; and brother, Cecil P. Eschete.
Carroll retired from SMATCO/Oil States Industries after 41 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, shrimping, crabbing, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He loved his canine companions. Carroll will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family would like to thank his son, Lonny Eschete, for his dedication and time in helping and taking care of Carroll.
Per Carroll's wishes, there will be a private memorial service held by his immediate family at a later date.

Carroll was our back door neighbor for many years. We had lots of great times together, gardening, shrimping, barbecuing, watching our children grow. Our prayers are with his family.
