Carter James Bryant, 25, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away on October 23, 2022 following a fatal car accident in Beaver. Carter was born to parents Coy Kay Bryant and Caroline Elizabeth Ball-Bryant on August 1st, 1997 after his mother Carrie was involved in a fatal car accident. Carter miraculously survived the accident and was born via an emergency C-section. Carrie was an organ donor and her organs helped save so many lives. This decision greatly impacted Carter to become an organ donor himself, and he later participated as a float rider in the Rose Bowl Parade on the Donate Life float alongside Tyla Newbold, who received Carrie's liver.
Following Carrie's death, Coy married Leia Reneè Zemanek Bryant, mother of MaKenna Reneè Bryant whom Coy adopted, and gave Carter a younger sister to love and protect. The Bryant family later welcomed Carter's youngest sister, Payten Elyse Bryant. Together, they enjoyed taking family trips to Disneyland, Disneyworld, Paris, and Hawaii.
Carter was raised in Draper, UT. He attended Alta High school and graduated from Corner Canyon High School alongside many of his friends. Carter loved the outdoors, and enjoyed participating in activities such as skiing, rock climbing, boating, hiking, fishing, shooting, and spending time with his dad on their family farm to name a few. He loved spending time with his grandparents (Garth + Dianne Bryant, Roger + Lynn Ball, & Saundra Zemanek). Carter was a natural leader, and participated as a camp counselor at Camp Steiner for several years. He had a brilliant sense of humor, and loved to make his friends and family laugh with his large personality. Carter had such a strong voice and wasn't afraid to stand up to anyone. Carter was able to pursue his passion in adulthood as a performer, shining his light to many, and referred to himself as "Salt Lake City's Biggest Problem."
Carter is greeted by his angels; mother Caroline Elizabeth Ball-Bryant, uncles Kelly Dean Bryant, Kendall O. Bryant, Ron Eric Zemanek, and grandmother Saundra Lee Zemanek. He is survived by father Coy Kay Bryant, step-mother Leia Reneè Zemanek Bryant, sisters MaKenna Reneè Bryant and Payten Elyse Bryant, grandparents Garth and Dianne Bryant and Roger and Lynn Ball, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins of the Ball, Bryant, and Zemanek family. He will be deeply missed and will be remembered forever.
We would like to put a special thank you to all the support provided to Carter to make organ donation possible. Ems, Beaver Valley Hospital, Saint George Regional Hospital, Classic Aviation Life Flight and Donor Connect. We would also like to thank Samantha Macias, who stayed with Carter until EMS arrived.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 12 pm at the Cedar City Utah Stake Center (155 East 400 South, Cedar City, UT). A viewing will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Southern Utah Mortuary (190 North 300 West, Cedar City, UT).
