Casey Garland Chandler 45, of Louisville, KY, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. Casey was born on March 5, 1980, in Louisville, KY, to loving parents Monte Chandler and Saundra Spears Chandler.
Casey's passion for music was infectious; one of his favorite phrases was "listen to this," as he turned up the volume. He cherished attending concerts and embraced the great outdoors through hiking, camping, and boating. A proud University of Louisville fan, Casey also enjoyed playing soccer during high school.
He is survived by his beloved son, Preston Chandler (Savannah Kirchgessner) of New Albany, IN; his parents Monte Chandler (Michele) of Louisville, KY, and Saundra Chandler (Tommy Perkins) of Charlestown, IN; and his siblings Heather Chandler of Charlestown, IN, Sarah Monroe (Zack) of Louisville, KY, and Samer Haider (Caroline Elders) of Louisville, KY, and Josh Masingo; nephew, Zayne of Louisville, KY, niece, Kendyl Kee, the mother of his son and friend, Janna Chandler.
A Life Celebration service will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, IN. Burial will follow at Charlestown Cemetery. Friends and family are welcome to pay their respects on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on Wednesday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to The Healing Place, 1020 W Market St, Louisville, KY 40202, in Casey's honor.
