Cassandra C. Thompson, a cherished mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother, passed away in Mauston, Wisconsin, on October 6, 2025, at the age of 42. Born on February 16, 1983, in the same close-knit community, Cassandra's life was a testament to her courage and kindness, qualities that endeared her to all who knew her.
Cassandra attended New Lisbon Schools before moving on to the Tomah School District. Her compassionate nature led her to a career in healthcare, where she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, providing in-home care to the residents of Tomah. Her dedication to service was a beacon of hope and comfort to many families during their times of need.
After the loss of her boyfriend, Harley, with whom she shared 12 beautiful years, Cassandra found solace in moving to Platteville and later to Necedah, where she continued to surround herself with the love and support of her family.
Cassandra's life was rich with the joy of motherhood. She is survived by her loving mother, Wendy Clark of Necedah; her daughters, Leah (Arin) Mazur of Reedsburg, Aspen Leach, and Jasper Leach, both of Necedah; and her adored grandchildren, Grayson, Paxton, and Hartlie. Her legacy continues through her siblings, Jason (Tania) Clark of New Lisbon, Chad Clark of Tomah, and Shae (Brad Loging) Clark of Necedah, her grandma Shelby Bjerke of New Lisbon, as well as her cherished nieces and nephews, Jossalin, Jackson, Dominic, Nella, Lola, Lettie, and Beau.
Further marking the impact of her life are her aunts and uncles, Cheri (Tom) Hopper, Kim (Russ), Teresa Clark, Becky Quinlan, Lisa Clark, Bobbi Jo, Dennis Bjerke, Mark Clark, Craig Bjerke, Robin Williamson, Scott Clark, Micheal (Melissa) Clark, and Tammy Bjerke, who will all hold dear the memories they shared. Cassandra was preceded in death by her cousin Julie Holton, her aunt Peggy Baldwin, her beloved Harley, her grandpa Tilly, and her grandma Lydia.
Beyond her professional and familial roles, Cassandra had a passion for the arts. She found great pleasure in drawing and creating diamond art, hobbies that not only showcased her artistic talent but also provided her with moments of tranquility and reflection. Above all, Cassandra's greatest joy was being surrounded by her family, whose lives were deeply enriched by her presence. Her heart was full in the presence of her grandbabies as she embraced a newfound love. Cassandra truly had the biggest heart and, despite facing her own challenges, she always put others first. Cassandra was beautiful, inside and out.
