Catherine H. Dembinski 47 of Middlefield passed away peacefully after a brief, but brave battle with brain cancer on Wednesday October 2, 2024, at the Ohman Family Living at Briar nursing home. She was born April 3, 1977, in Port Washington, WI to Brian and Jane Gresch. She graduated from Cardinal High School in 1995. She worked at Subway in Middlefield and treasured the friendships she found there.
Cathy was a passionate person who cared deeply for all of her family and friends. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Her greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her boys. Losing her is devastating for all who were blessed to know her.
She will be deeply missed by her parents Brian and Jane Gresch, her sons Ryan Phillips (Samantha Mighton), Brian Buck (Michaela Panas), Josh Phillips, and Todd Dembinski Jr., her brother and sister, and countless other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Todd Dembinski.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High Street, Middlefield, OH 44062, Thursday, October 10, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Cathy's name to the Glioblastoma Foundation, PO Box 62066 Durham, NC 27715 or glioblastomafoundation.org to support the fight for a cure and services for brain cancer patients.
