Catherine Frances "Kay" Harden

Catherine Frances "Kay" Harden, 83 of Vineland, New Jersey, passed away on August 25, 2025, at home while surrounded by her loved ones in Vineland, New Jersey under the care of her family and hospice.
Catherine (Kay) was born in Paulsboro, NJ to the late Howard E. Pierce, Sr. and Susan Pierce on August 18, 1942. She was employed as a Housekeeper at Vineland Developmental Center for 25 years. She enjoyed her retirement with her favorite activities such as fishing, spending time with family and friends, summer barbecues with "The Group", playing cards, Pokeno, bingo, casino trips and vacations to VA and TN.
Catherine "Kay" leaves to cherish her memories; her brother Elsworth "Elsie" (Sandra) Pierce of Millville, NJ; her children, Sidney (Sharlene) Johnson, Jr. of Millville, NJ, Curtis (Stacee) Johnson of Newton, AL, Susan (Shane) Harris of Vineland, NJ, Tony (Yara) Johnson of Vineland, NJ, Keith (Jeannine) of Smithfield, VA, Lorraine Cannon of Vineland, NJ, Crystal (David) Smith of Vineland, NJ; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; a special pet companion, Lola; and close family friends, Val Hubbard and Sharon Blount. She was preceded in death by; her husband, Paul R. Harden, Jr.; her brothers, Ralford "Ralphie" Pierce, Kenneth Pierce, Clayton Pierce, Howard Pierce, Jr.; her sisters, Dorothy "Dot" Ridgeway and Barbara Pierce; her father, Howard E. Pierce, Sr.; her mother, Susan Pierce; and her best friends Joyce Ware and Ginny Hummel.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to NJ Home Hospice & Palliative Care, with special recognition to Alicia and Leslie. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 NJ-77, Bridgeton, NJ 08302, Upper Deerfield Twp., on Saturday, August 30th at 11 AM with Pastor Curtis Johnson of Transforming Truth Ministries officiating. Friends will be received from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the service. Interment will take place at Siloam Cemetery, 550 N. Valley Avenue in Vineland, NJ following the service.
