Catherine Inez Shulkusky Hunt

Catherine Inez Shulkusky Hunt, 69, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, passed away on November 22nd, 2025, at 1:03 pm, surrounded by her loving family.  Born on May 1st, 1956, in San Francisco, CA, she is the daughter of the late Stella Harris Shulkusky and the late Anthony Shulkusky.

A service celebrating Catherine’s life will be held Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 3:00 pm at Whitesell Funeral Home at 975 Riverview Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730.

She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She is survived by her husband, Gary Lee Hunt; Son, Shawn Hunt and wife Monica Hunt, Shane Hunt and fiancée Wendy Kidd.

Catherine was the eldest of four children: Anthony Shulkusky and wife Erika; Carolyn Shulkusky; and the late Michael Shulkusky.

She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Angel Cannon and husband Matt Cannon, along with their son Rory Cannon, Cody Hunt, Ethan Hunt, Parker Hunt, Samantha Pardo, and Nicholas Pardo.

Catherine was always quick-witted and could make people smile.  She loved her family and friends and had a rare ability to make others feel comfortable in her presence.  She had a true, genuine spirit that shined through and wore her heart on her sleeve.  Everyone who spoke to her knew she offered a comfort that was hard to find.

She loved nature, and she enjoyed the time when she was younger, traveling while her father was in the Navy. She later enjoyed living in Hawaii, North Carolina, and West Virginia.

Above all, Catherine will be remembered for the comfort and love she shared with others.  

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all hospice staff, family, and friends for the supportive care provided.
